SkyEmaster A10 EDF project

Hey everyone. I have a question in what internal control horns are being used in the elevators and rudders as the pictures in the manual do not show what is being used in the SkyEmaster A10. The control horns given would not work for those areas unless they are mounted externally which is not what that plane appears to have.
Thanks in advance.

Hi Gogian,

The amp draw sounds much better and is right around where it should be.  Looking forward to hearing about a successful maiden.

Hi Gogian,

You may want to check the timing and frequency setting on the controller, compare the settings to what the HST manual recommends.  I don't have much experienc with the MGM controllers yet, but with other controllers the screaching usually indicates the timing may be off.

Hi Gogian,

Congrats on your F-16.  I know what you mean about possibly miscalculating the exhast diameter size based on area.  I did that with the first Schubeler HST fan I had.  Anyway, the exhaust diameter on the Hunter is 105mm.

I have a MGM ComPro controller but haven't used it yet.  I'll be installing it in the L-39 later this week.  Have you measured the amps and volts yet?  That information wouild be helpful in determining the problem.

If the exhaust diameter isn't the problem, here's a couple things to consider:
1. Are you connecting the anti-spark wire to the battery?  If so, are you disconnecting the anti-spark wire after the batteries are connected to the controller?
2. I noticed you added extra capacitors.  Are the specs on the capacitors you added the same as the specs for the capacitors on the controller (63v, 1000uF)?  If not, the added capacitors may not store enough energy to meet the demands at full throttle.
